Student Powered Fitness Integration and Training Program
Elementary, Middle, and High School

"Students who may be generally shy and lacking in leadership skills are able to confidently present, explain, and share their new fitness expertise with teachers and peers. It always gives me goosebumps to watch these kids blossom and shine! Their leadership, collaborative and social skills influence everything from their mentoring to their participation in the classroom"
- Generation FIT Teacher – Redmond, OR, WA

Teachers are over-busy, over-planned and over the top with things to do every day. We are teachers - we understand.  Generation FIT is designed to create a powerful support team for you. On-site District-wide training or a small school group in-service are all available.  Contact us for your customized and economical plan .

Most traditional professional development models take teachers out of the classroom to learn new programs and strategies. Generation FIT™ is presented as a program that dovetails easily into the regular classroom environment, is easy for teachers to master and invites results without demanding much in the way of teacher time. For a very small investment of time, and on a very small budget, a school can:
  • Increase the amount of physical education and exercise in the school day
  • Integrate strategies to improve student focus and academic success, for all students and for varied learning styles or special needs.
  • Create positive behaviors and improved discipline, respect and responsibility among students in the program, that carry over throughout the classroom “culture.”
  • Engage students (and their families) in the learning process
  • Create authentic assessment and collaborative learning opportunities
  • Develop respect for peers, and self and for the differences in skill and aptitude within the group
  • Provide eye tracking, prediction, anticipation and patterning practice at more than 40 customized skill levels
  • Relevant exploration into many topics, some of which include: physiology, health, aptitudes, service, reading skills, leadership and the impact of regular practice.
The Generation FIT™ program is designed to accomplish a wide range of learning objectives and improve student learning across the curriculum. Generation FIT™ trains students with unique team-building and mentoring skills to help improve fitness, wellness, leadership, social skills, self esteem and collaborative rapport among peers and, therefore, academic success . As the Generation FIT™ program takes hold in a school, these trained students (student change agents) work with teachers and their peers in a variety of fitness-learning related solutions. If your faculty would enjoy a Wellness Program, check out Gen Xe3 .

Goals and Objectives
The students will use their newly acquired mentoring and fitness expertise to help the teacher integrate dozens of 10-minute exercise bouts into the school day, leading to both fitness and academic success for all.

The student will provide the expertise, energy, and time to learn the technology and manage the project.

The teacher will provide the knowledge of education, class needs, and facilitation to guide the project.

The teacher will learn how to use dance game technology side-by-side with the student in a just-in-time fashion and quality aerobic exercise simultaneously.

The student will learn valuable real world skills – mentoring, the value of school/community service, the importance of active movement for both fitness and mental focus, collaboration, and time management in addition to the interactive dance video game and project sharing technology.
